Please note: under IRS rules your cost of membership in this professional association may be completely deductible!

Membership at the Student level or above must be supported with appropriate documentation (i.e., diplomas, certifications, transcripts, etc.).

Standard membership does not include professional liability insurance or hard-copy certificate of membership. Professional liability insurance may be available for members through ABMP, providing the eligibility requirements of ABMP are met. Active Members of ITTA also receive a discount in insurance rates from ABMP.

 AFFILIATE:  Non-professional Affiliate membership open to anyone with and interest in Thai Yoga, Thai Massage and related topics.

Affiliate Membership: Free annually!

 STUDENT:  1 to 30 hours of training in any ITTA-approved modality, may include "tourist" programs such as ITM (Thailand), Old Medicine Hospital, Wat Po, Lek Chaiya Nerve Touch, Asokananda/Sunshine Network, Thai Yoga Massage, as well as establish US programs with verifyable curriculum. Student level members are not considered professional practitioners and may not present themselves as such. Student level recognitions are only valid while enrolled actively in an ITTA-recognized program of instruction. Student members are required to complete 16 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually from an ITTA-recognized program to maintain their membership status.

Student Membership: FREE annually

Student Membership with Student Insurance: $61.00 annually

 NOVICE THAI PRACTITIONER (NTP):   31 to 66 hours of training in specific approved modality. Novice Thai Practitioner members are not considered professional practitioners and may not present themselves as such. Novice Thai Practitioner recognitions are only valid while enrolled actively in an ITTA-recognized program of instruction. Novice Thai Practitioner members are required to complete 16 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually from an ITTA-recognized program to maintain their membership status.

Novice Thai Practitioner Membership: $12.50 annually

Novice Thai Practitioner Membership with Student Insurance: $61.50 annually ($12.50 Novice Thai Practitioner Membership plus $49.00 Student Insurance: TYC only)

 BASIC THAI PRACTITIONER (BTP):  67 to 172 hours of training in specific approved modality, with at least 66 hours certified from one ITTA-recognized school or program. Recognized Basic Thai Practitioner level practitioners are considered "Intermediate Students" and are not considered professional practitioners and may not present themselves as such, unless qualified to practice as a professional in some additional specialty and licensing that allows the Thai Yoga/ Thai Massage Practice as an adjunct modality (e.g., primary licensing may be nursing or other medical licensing, massage therapy where licensing is required by state or local law, esthetician, etc.) Basic Thai Practitioner members are required to complete 16 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually from an ITTA-recognized program to maintain their membership status.

Basic Thai Practitioner Membership: $12.50 annually

Level One: Basic Thai Practitioner Membership with Student Insurance (67 to 100 hours): $61.50 annually ($12.50 Basic Thai Practitioner Membership plus $49.00 Student Insurance: TYC only)

Level Two: Basic Thai Practitioner Membership with Insurance (101 to 172 hours): $176.50 annually ($12.50 Basic Thai Practitioner Membership plus $164.00 Insurance: TYC only)

 CERTIFIED THAI PRACTITIONER (CTP):  173 to 273 hours of training in specific approved modality, with at least 160 hours certified from one ITTA-recognized school or program. Recognized Thai Practitioner level recognition is considered "Advanced Students" who may or may not be considered professional practitioners, depending on the degree of related training and/or other professional licensing and under any laws and regulations that may or may not apply to Thai Yoga and/or Thai Massage practice. The Certified Thai Practitioner may or may not be qualified to practice as a professional in some jurisdictions according to local standards and laws. It is the practitioner's sole responsibility to legally practice. ITTA makes no warranty as to the legality of practice in any specific jurisdiction. The accepted and current minimum national standard for most bodywork practices is 500 hours, with at least 250 hours from a single recognized program. Certified Thai Practitioner members are required to complete 16 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually from an ITTA-recognized program to maintain their membership status.

Certified Thai Practitioner Membership: $12.00 annually ($1.00 per month avg!)

Certified Thai Practitioner Membership with Insurance: $176.00 annually ($12.00 Certified Thai Practitioner Membership plus $164.00 Insurance: TYC only)

 CERTIFIED ADVANCED THAI PRACTITIONER (CATP):  274 to 500 hours of training in specific approved modality, with at least 250 hours certified from one ITTA-recognized school or program. Certified Advanced Thai Practitioner level recognition is considered "Professional" who may or may not be considered professional practitioners depending on the degree of related training and/or other professional licensing and under any laws and regulations that may or may not apply to Thai Yoga and/or Thai Massage practice. The Advanced Thai Practitioner may or may not be qualified to practice as a professional in some jurisdictions according to local standards and laws. It is the practitioner's sole responsibility to legally practice. ITTA makes no warranty as to the legality of practice in any specific jurisdiction. Certified Advanced Thai Practitioner Membership with Insurance: $176.50 annually ($12.50 Certified Thai Practitioner Membership plus $164.00 Insurance: TYC only)

 CERTIFIED THAI THERAPIST (CTT):  501 hours or more of training in specific approved modality from ITTA-recognized programs issuing certificates with certified hours, with at least 250 hours certified from one ITTA-recognized school or program. Certified Thai Therapist level recognition is considered "Professional" who may or may not be considered professional practitioners depending on the degree of related training and/or other professional licensing and under any laws and regulations that may or may not apply to Thai Yoga and/or Thai Massage practice. The Advanced Thai Practitioner may or may not be qualified to practice as a professional in some jurisdictions according to local standards and laws. It is the practitioner's sole responsibility to legally practice. ITTA makes no warranty as to the legality of practice in any specific jurisdiction. Certified Thai Therapist Membership: $15.00 annually

Certified Thai Therapist Membership with Insurance: $179.00 annually ($15.00 Certified Thai Therapist Membership plus $164.00 Insurance: TYC only)

 CERTIFIED MASTER PRACTITIONER (CMP):   Certified Master Practitioners must have maintained an active, uninterrupted, Certified Therapists grade membership level in ITTA for a minimum of 10 years to qualify. Must have a documented clinical practice using Thai Massage modality for a minimum of ten years and be of good moral character. Application submitted and approved by ITTA Board of Advisors at National Convention. Certified Master Practitioner members are required to complete 16 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually from an ITTA-recognized program to maintain their membership status.

Certified Master Practitioner Membership: $12.00 annually

 CERTIFIED THAI FACILITATOR (CTF):  Certified to facilitate one or more ITTA-approved class or level, but having less than 500 hours certification in a specific modality. Please note: All Certified Thai Facilitators must also hold and maintain a current Certified Thai Practitioner or above membership level. Certified Thai Facilitator members are required to complete 32 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually from an ITTA-recognized program to maintain their membership status.

Certified Facilitator Membership: $25.00 annually (Includes CTP annual dues $12.50)

 CERTIFIED THAI INSTRUCTOR (CTI):  Certified to facilitate four or more ITTA-approved classes or levels, but less than six or the equivalent of a full program sufficient to graduate a Student to ITTA Certified Thai Practitioner or above level of recognition. Must be qualified to teach as evidenced by current ITTA-recognized certifications and recognitions to facilitate a specific approved curriculum which includes, but is not limited to, specific modality of basic, intermediate and advanced technique classes (minimum of four classes) of not less than 150 hours in one recognized style, comprehensive Thai theory component of not less than 16 hours. Certified Thai Instructors must hold and maintain a Certified Thai Therapists or above membership level. Certified Instructor members are required to complete 32 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually from an ITTA-recognized program to maintain their membership status. Additionally, CI's not teaching a standardized ITTA Approved curriculum must submit clear copies of their curriculum and course content for a certificates and levels etc. being issued or to be recognized by ITTA.

Certified Instructor Membership: $30.00 annually (Includes CTT annual dues $15.00)

 CERTIFIED THAI INSTRUCTOR ADVANCED (CTIA):  Certified Thai Instructor minimum, certified to teach and facilitate a full training, certification and/or diploma qualifying students to certified Advanced Thai Practitioner level (274-500 hours) or above in an ITTA-approved curriculum in a competent and professional manner with a proven orientation toward promoting and furthering the Thai Massage way. Certified Thai Instructors Advanced must hold and maintain a Certified Thai Therapists or above membership level. Certified Thai Instructor Advanced members are required to complete 32 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually from an ITTA-recognized program to maintain their membership status. Additionally, CI's not teaching a standardized ITTA Approved curriculum must submit clear copies of their curriculum and course content for a certificates and levels etc. being issued or to be recognized by ITTA.

Certified Instructor Advanced Membership: $30.00 annually (Includes CTT annual dues $15.00)

 CERTIFIED MASTER INSTRUCTOR (CMI):  Certified Instructor Advanced minimum, able to teach, certify and communicate Royal, Northern and/or Eclectic Thai Bodywork Styles in a competent and professional manner. A proven orientation toward promoting and furthering the Thai Massage way. Has graduated and/or certified a minimum of five thousand students from a Level One or greater class. Must be published, of good moral character, have made substantial documented contributions toward furtherance of Thai Massage field and industry. Application submitted and approved by ITTA Board of Advisors at National Convention.)

(Honorary, No Dues)

 INSTITUTIONAL AND/OR SCHOOL (IS):  Special recognition for schools and professional sponsors that meet the highest standard and commitment in furthering the development of Thai Massage programs. The school or institutional applicant must have an active and in good standing ITTA certified Facilitator or Instructor teaching all Thai Massage classes. Additionally, schools not teaching a standardized ITTA Approved curriculum must submit clear copies of their curriculum and course content for a certificates and levels etc. being issued or to be recognized by ITTA.

Institution and/or School Membership: $25.00 annually

 INTERNATIONAL MEMBER:  Same as above for USA. All funds are in US dollars

Recognized Schools or programs are either ITTA-recognized and/or Royal Thai Ministries of Health and/or Education Accredited.

Membership level is determined based upon certifications received from ITTA-approved instructors or schools (documentation must be submitted to ITTA).
