Honors, Titles and Recognitions

 

Aacharn, Dr. James was given the Instructor / Teacher and lineage holder of the Buddhai Sawan tradition by Grand Master Phaa Khruu Samaii Mesamarn, Nongkam, Thailand in 1984. Grand Master Samaii was the 36th generation Grand Master of the Buddhai Sawan School originally founded in Ayudthaya and a consultant to H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the current King of Thailand. Grand Master Samaii was honored by King Bhumibol several times during his life time for service to the royal family and the kingdom. Grand Master twice in his life received awards personally from H.M. King Bhumibol, the final award received only three years before Grand Master Samaii's passing.

Aacharn James is currently developing a standardized, bi-lingual, Thai Yoga and Thai Massage program under direction and patronage of Mr. Khwankeo Vajradaya, Chairman Rajaprajanugroh Foundation, Chairman Distance Learning Foundation Thailand and Grand Chamberlain to H.M. King Bhumibol.

EXPERIENCE

Thirty years of developing, planning and implementing therapies, marketing, programs, training and education for integrative and complimentary health, wellness and fitness organizations. Adept at hands-on therapeutic and related methodologies. Skilled educator/ facilitator/therapist/trainer who brings broad knowledge of and credibility to Asian healing art and Western body work traditions. Back ground of studies in the Orient, coupled with up-to-date Western methods allows for effective communication with full spectrum of clientele, both professional and lay. Promote and teach Traditional Thai Medical Yoga and Massage nationally and internationally. One of the few Western therapists granted Teacher status by several Oriental Medical Schools. Can lead, motivate, act and communicate on the highest levels.

Degreed Naturopath (ANMA), Medical Doctor (A.M.) (AAMA, AHHA) and Holistic Health Practitioner Specialist in CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) natural, non-invasive alternative and oriental approaches to health and has a well developed specific practice in treating Myo-fascial pain syndromes with CDT (Complex Decongestive Therapy). Uses a variety of approaches from western massage therapy to remedies finding their origins in the traditional healing methods of Thailand, India and China. Currently the only western Thai Yoga and Massage Instructor to be formally recognized by The Royal Thai Government. In addition is now the only western teacher to be formally recognized as an "Aacharn" or "Master" instructor of Traditional Thai Medicine.

Has professionally presented over 400 individual professional certification seminars to date in SomaVeda™, Traditional Thai Medical Massage Therapy. Has professionally certified over 6,000 individuals in one or more components of the SomaVeda™ Practitioner Development Program. Has certified 21 individual instructors to teach SomaVeda™ Thai Yoga and or Massage.
