Thai Massage is not "like" or similar to Yoga, it is Yoga! Traditional Thai Medicine (TTM) as seen in Thailand is a truly Vedic medicine. TTM shares the same history and origins as that of the Indian traditional Medicine Known as Ayurveda. In the past practitioners and doctors were known as Reishi's or even Yoga Reishi's or saints. The founder of TTM is a famous Yogic physician known as Shivago Komalaboat or Jivaka dependig on the region. Shivago is immortalized in the foundational medicinal mantra "Om Namo". Om Namo is a Pali / Sanskrit word meaning literally "in the name of or in rememberance of " Referring to the historic person of Shivago. Shivago is reputed bu history to have been born in India and being raised in the North country, eventually moving and settling in what we now know as Tibet. The story is that he was already a doctor of traditional medicine before moving to Tibet. Shivago Komaloboat is also known as Jivaka in the Pali dialect. Jivaka also referred to as the Thrice Crowned King of Tibetan medicine is listed in seral different Ayurvedic treatise as one of the historically important students of the orifginal master teacher of the Ayurvedic tradition Atreya.
